The Daughter is out now!

The wait is over… The Daughter is out now!

My brand-new up-all-night thriller opens as Lauren goes to pick up her daughter after her first term at university. She knocks on the door of Evie’s room – but a stranger answers the door. He doesn’t know Evie’s name. No-one recognises her picture.

Lauren quickly realises that something is very, very wrong – and sets off on a desperate search into the dark heart of London to find her daughter before it’s too late…

In the writing cabin with my new book!

The end-of-term reunion is such a common experience for so many people, and the idea for the book actually came to me when I went to pick up my daughter, Sophie, from university for the first time. As I drove down the M5 from Nottingham, the ‘what if’ scenario played out in my head: what if she wasn’t there? What if she hadn’t actually been there for weeks? What if she had vanished without trace?

What would I do?

What would you do?

The Daughter, my new novel for 2025

I loved writing this novel and I think it’s my best yet – I can’t wait to hear what you think! If you enjoyed the twists and turns of The Dream Home, the intense emotions of The Mother, the relentless pace of Trust Me or the heart-stopping drama of The Curfew, then I think you’re going to love The Daughter.

You can find it in Tesco, Sainsbury’s, WHSmith, Waterstones, good independent booksellers and of course Amazon, among other places. The audiobook – narrated by the brilliant Louise Brealey – and the ebook are also available for download now.

As ever, I love to hear what you think so please do rate and review – it’s very much appreciated. Reviews really help people to know what to expect and they also help to spread the word about a new book, which is so important around publication day and beyond.

The Daughter - out now
