The title of my next book is...
I’ve been busy in my writing cabin for the last few months, and I’m very excited to announce some good news… my next book is on the way!
My tenth novel will be called THE WEEKEND.
It’s a fast-paced psychological thriller that opens as six friends are getting ready to celebrate New Year’s Eve, in a cottage high in the Yorkshire Dales. But a chance discovery is about to test their friendship right to the limit – and before long they’re sliding headlong into a world of deceit, treachery, betrayal and murder…
I’m so excited to share the title with you today and I can’t wait to tell you more about this story. Rest assured that if you want to go on a weekend you’ll never forget, you’re in the right place 😊
It’s also a milestone for me as an author, as it will be novel number TEN! I’m still trying to get my head around this number, to be honest. It doesn’t seem very long ago at all that I was a debut author with my first book, Lies, hoping it would find an audience so that I could keep on writing, keep on telling stories in book two, book three and beyond.
And now I’m going to be in double figures! I’m looking forward to celebrating the milestone in lots of fun, bookish ways and Readers’ Club members will be the first to hear about them – as well as more about the new book, cover reveals, exclusive content and much more.
The Weekend will be coming out in early 2026 but is available to pre-order now. So if you want to join me celebrating #TM10 (and lock in the best price) you know what to do… Thank you!
Oh, and if you’re looking for a paperback a little sooner than that: a quick reminder that The Holiday features in WHSmith Travel’s new Book Club, so you can find it (in its lovely new jacket) in airports, train stations and travel hubs all over the country.
I’ve been on my travels recently too, with visits to Simply Books in Stockport and Wrexham Carnival of Words, plus library events in Redditch, Rotherham and Watford. Next stop is the Bath Literature Festival on 18th May, which I’m very much looking forward to. I’ll be writing on the train there and back, putting the finishing touches to The Weekend…
By the way, The Daughter is in a Kindle Daily Deal on Monday, May 12th, at just £1.99 :-)
